On February 7, 2018, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the matron & staff of Corpus Christi Nursing Home, Mitchelstown, MAURA. Beloved sister of Anne (Byrne). Sadly missed by her family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Requiem mass on Saturday (10th February) at 12 noon in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Rathdowney. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Pauline Brophy (née Drennan)
Skerry, Rosenallis, Laois

Pauline Brophy (née Drennan) Skerry, Rosenallis, Co Laois and formerly of Portlaois. Died February 6th at St.Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. Deeply regretted by her husband Paul and sons Joseph, Peter and David, grandchildren Emma and John, Peter’s partner Yvonne, mother-in-law Elizabeth, her sisters Lillian Egan, Mary Therese Burke, Rena Hilditch, Antoinette Foley Jones, brothers Peter and James, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law Marian Fingleton, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and many friends. Reposing in Moloneys Funeral Home, Mountmellick on Friday evening from 7pm, Recital of the Rosary at 9pm. Prayers in the Funeral Home on Saturday morning at 10am. Removal at 10.30 am to St. Brigids Church, Rosenallis for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock. Cremation Service at 2pm in Newlands Cross Crematorium.

Maureen Fenlon (née Moran)
Ballybrittas, Laois

Maureen passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Sadly missed by her daughters Caroline and Sarah. Predeceased by her husband Mick and son Pat. Deeply regretted by her family, brother Willie and sister Susie, brother-in-law Tom, sister-in-law Vera, daughter-in-law Carmel, son-in-law John, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Wednesday from 2 o clock with Rosary at 8 o clock Wednesday evening. Reposing Thursday from 12 noon with Rosary at 8 o clock Thursday evening. Removal on Friday morning at 11.30 to arrive at The Church of the Sacred Heart, Rath for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment to follow in New Cemetery, Emo.

Sheila (Tony) Matthews (née Phelan)
Sallynoggin, Dublin / Mountmellick, Laois
 Matthews (née Phelan) (Sallynoggin, Co. Dublin and formerly of 5, Lord Edward Street, Mountmellick) – February 5th 2018 (peacefully at home). Sheila (Tony); dearly beloved wife of the late William (Billy) and much loved mother of Noel, Jim, John and Patricia (Pat). Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughter, son-in-law Steve, daughters-in-law Josephine, Mary (Trini) and Irene, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Mary, extended family and friends.

Reposing at her home on Wednesday evening from 5pm to 7pm (all welcome) Removal on Friday morning to Our Lady of Victories Church, Sallynoggin arriving at 9.50am. Funeral immediately after 10am requiem mass to Deans Grange Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Alzheimer Association. Donation box at the rear of the church beside the condolence book.

John and Mary Brophy
11 Davin Park, Mountmellick, Laois

John and Mary Brophy also known as Jack Maher and Molly. Died peacefully surrounded by their loving familes in The Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Deeply regretted by their sons John & Noel, daughters Martina, Patricia and Majella, daughters-in-law Tracey & Ann, son-in-law Seamus, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, neighbours, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Jack and Molly will repose in their home from 5pm on Tuesday with Recital of The Rosary at 9pm. Family time on Wednesday morning please. Funerals arriving to St. Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick on Wednesday for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Burials after in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Family flowers only please.

John Campell
Woodford, Loughrea, Galway / Mountmellick, Laois

John, Woodford, Co. Galway and Derryguile, Mountmellick, suddenly at the Galway Clinic. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Anne (née McMahon) brothers Raymond and Robert, sisters Catriona, Clare and Anne, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, nephews-in-law, nieces-in-law, neighbours, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 7th, at 12 noon in St. John the Baptist Church, Woodford, Co. Galway with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private by request.

Ballycullane, Portarlington, Laois / Rosenallis, Laois

John died peacefully at the Regional Hospital, Portloaise. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, May, sons Sean, Fergal and Brian, daughter Margaret, sisters Bridie and Phil, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence from 10 o’clock on Tuesday morning. Removal on Tuesday evening at 7pm to St. Paul’s Church, Emo, arriving at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 o’clock followed by burial in the new cemetery.
