Died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home. R.I.P Predeceased by her husband Paul & her daughter Margaret. Sadly missed by her sons Peter & Paul, daughter Marian. Grandchildren Laura, Johnny, Niall, Anna, Joe, Peter & David. Great-grandchildren Emma, John, Ella, Julie,Adam & Cormac. Her nephew Jim, neighbours, relatives & friends. Reposing on Sunday evening in Moloney’s Funeral Home from 7 O’clock with Rosary at 9 O’clock. Removal on Monday morning at 11:15 A.M to St.Peter & Paul’s Church Portlaoise for 12 o’clock Requirm mass. Burial afterwards in St.Bridget’s cemetary Rosenallis.

Madeline Cahill (née Whelan)
Upper Main Street, Abbeyleix, Laois

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Michael and Ann’s home in Mornington. Loving wife of the late Jim and dear mother of the late Pat and Barry and loving grandmother of infant Safia White. Sadly missed by her loving children Ann, Cabrini, Madeline and son Seamus, sons-in-law Mike, Martin and Stephen, daughters-in-law, Catherine, Deidre and Maria, her cherished grandchildren and her large circle of family and friends. Reposing at her residence from 2pm today, Saturday, with Rosary at 9pm. Removal to the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix, for Requiem Mass at 11am on Sunday. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Campion, Droimnín Nursing Home, Stradbally, Co. Laois and formerly Sue Ryder House, Kilminchy, Portlaoise, Cuffesgrange, Kilkenny and Coolkerry, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. April 6th 2018, peacefully at Portlaoise Regional Hospital. Martin, sadly mourned by his sister-in-law Bridget Campion (Coolkerry), nephews, nieces and his good friend Vera, relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements will be announced on Monday afternoon. No flowers by request, Donations can be made at Martin’s funeral to The National Council For The Blind, (Portlaoise).

Robert (Bob) Nicholls
Ballycarnan, Portlaoise, Laois

Nicholls (Bob) Ballycarnan, Portlaoise. April 5th 2018. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Portlaoise Regional Hosp. Predeceased by his wife Betty and son George. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Joan, sons Harry, Billy, Eddie, and Ken, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his carer Jos, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his son Eddie’s house at Ballycarnan from 4 pm on Friday with prayers at 8 pm. Funeral Service at 11 am on Saturday morning as St Peter’s Church, Market Sq., Portlaoise. Interment will follow in the adjoining graveyard.

Kathleen O’Toole (née Byrne)
Mount Prospect, Clontarf, Dublin/Ballacolla, Laois

O’Toole (nee Byrne) Kathleen (a proud Ballacolla, Co. Laois lady and late of Mount Prospect, Clontarf, Dublin 3), April 4, 2018, in the wonderful care of the staff of Carechoice Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Michael and a much-loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Warmly remembered by her children Peter, Aileen, Mary, Edwina, Nora, Cathal and Siobhán, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Irene Nolan, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Carechoice Nursing Home (Northern Cross, Malahide Road, Dublin 17) from 6.00pm to 8.00pm on Friday April 6th, (relatives only). Removal on Saturday April 7th, to St. Gabriel’s Church, Clontarf for Funeral Mass at 10.30am followed by burial at Fingal Cemetery, Balgriffin. Family flowers only.

‘Curra Dubh’, Ridge Road, Portlaoise, Laois

Jerry Lodge, ‘Curra Dubh’, Ridge Road, Portlaoise, died peacefully at The Beacon Hospital, Dublin. (Member of Laois County Council) Beloved husband of Patricia (O’ Keeffe) (Newmarket, Co. Cork). Deeply and deservedly regretted by his loving wife, sons Damien and Pauric. Sadly missed by his sister Mary Murphy (Dublin), brother Anthony, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, good neighbours and friends. Reposing in Keegans Funeral Home, Portlaoise, on Friday from 3pm until removal at 5.50pm to SS Peter & Paul’s Church, Portlaoise, for 6pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 1pm, with burial after in SS Peter & Paul’s Cemetery.

Donations if desired to the Cardiac Unit, Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Donation box will be in place in the funeral home and church.

Anne Malone (née Rowney)
Dublin Rd, Portlaoise, Laois

Peacefully in the loving care of the staff of St Brigid’s Hospital Shaen. Deeply regretted by her loving husband William, daughter Monica,sons Peter and Garrett, son-in-law Sean, daughters-in-law Siobhan and Anna, brothers-in-law Paddy and Ned, sister-in-law Agnes, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Thursday from 3pm with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Friday morning arriving SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to the Old Cemetery, Emo Village.

Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Sean, daughter Cait, sons Adrian, John & Ronan, son-in-law Patrick (Duffy), daughters-in-law, Cara, Claire and Roisin, grandchildren Sean, Roisin, Fionnan, Diarmuid, Conor, Enda, Adam, Sarah, Ella, Matthew and Eve, brothers Bobby & Martin (Laois), Jack (Dublin), sister Patricia (London), brothers-in-law J.J. & Pat Canavan (Carlow), sister-in-law Ann (Laois), nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Perry’s Funeral Home, Ballymote on Tuesday 3rd April from 6pm – 8pm. Removal from her home on Thursday to St Patrick’s Church, Ballyrush for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, with interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. House private on Morning of Removal Please. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association.
