Knockbeg College planning range of events to revive Past Pupils Union

Knockbeg College are planning to re-launch the Past Pupils Union and have a number of exciting events planned.

Back before Christmas, legendary teacher Mr John Behan retired after decades of service.

Then in February, he had his retirement party where colleagues and friends paid tribute to him.

And now, this Saturday April 28, in the Seven Oaks, the Past Pupils Union will host a Retirement Night for John Behan.

A presentation will be made to John on behalf of the Past Pupils Union for his years of great service as a teacher in Knockbeg since 1985 and his wonderful dedication to the Past Pupils Union.

Finger food will be provided after 8pm will a large turnout from all ages hoped for to help revive the Past Pupils Union also.

Then on Saturday, May 5, the Knockbeg College Golf Classic will take place in Carlow Golf Club with slots still available for remaining teams at a cost of 200 Euro for a team of 4.

Finally, on Friday May 25, the Past Pupils Union AGM will take place in the school at 8pm.

It will be the first in a while so hoping for a good response as we try and reactivate the PPU.

Proceedings will start with a Mass in the College Chapel (one of the final Masses in it before its renovation during the school rebuild) at 8pm.
