It was a scorcher of a day out there and there were a number of matches down for decision.
The day began disappointingly as the Laois hurlers lost in the Joe McDonagh Cup.
However, there were a number of exciting club games played this evening.
Borris-Kilcotton joined Camross and Clough-Ballacolla at the summit of Division 1 following a win over Castletown.
It is a result which leaves their opponents bottom of the Division along with Portlaoise and Abbeyleix.
Meanwhile, following a great win over Courtwood last week, Timahoe did it again to defeat Graiguecullen and rise to fourth in Division 2.
Ruairi O’Connor and Jimmy O’Connor were on the scoreboard in the first half for Timahoe but a Danny Aylsbury goal sent the sides in level 1-3 to 0-6 at the break.
Michael Kennedy put Timahoe ahead from the resumption with their only goal and despite a fightback from Graigue, they held on via points from Colum Dunne and Ruairi O’Connor.
