In Pictures: Wrapping up Sunday’s events at Durrow Scarecrow Festival

Hundreds gathered in Durrow to feast their eyes on the straw-filled magnificence that is Durrow Scarecrow Festival.

Now in it’s ninth year, the paramount All-Ireland Scarecrow Championships is a permanent fixture in the Laois events calendar.

A hive of activity

Scarecrow villages, arts and crafts exhibitions, delicious food and craft fairs and laserwars were just some of the events visitors can sample over the next week.

Yesterday, visitors from all over the county experienced Bouncy Castles, Gary Games, Laois Archery and Mice Racing, along with cupcake and fairy workshops.

Our resident photographer was there during the day to snap all of the activities.

Durrow Scarecrow Festival runs from Sunday, July 29 until Monday, August 6.
