Annual Walk for loved ones lost by suicide

The annual Giving Light and Hope walk which remembers loved ones lost to suicide will take place in Stradbally this weekend.

The event starts in Oughaval Woods at 1:30 on Sunday 23 September.

It is in aid of Teac Tom, a support charity with branches in Stradbally and Kilkenny.

The group will walk in solidarity with the families of those affected by suicide.

People are asked to wear orange, and there will be orange balloons available for everyone to carry as a symbol of remembrance and hope.

Last year featured music and singing, and this year ensures the same again.

It costs €10 to register for the event and proceeds will go towards running the charity’s counselling services.

Registration is online at www.thethomashayestrust.com/giving-light-hope-walk and sponsorship cards are available from Teac Tom. You can also register on the day.
