2018 has been a remarkable year for a young footballer from Portlaoise – and now it has gotten even better

Colin Conroy has been named as the U-15 St Kevin’s Boys/Bohemians’ Player of the Year for the 2018 season.

The young Portlaoise native was presented with his award at Bohemians senior team’s final game of the season on Friday night in Dalymount Park.

Conroy’s team are not finished yet either as they have the final of the U-15 Airtricity League to look forward to on Thursday night against St Patrick’s Athletic.

2018 has also seen Conroy capped for the Republic of Ireland at U-15 and U-16 level.

After captaining his country last November, Conroy played again for the U-15s in March against Cyrpus.

Then last month, he made the step up to the U-16 team where he played in games against Bulgaria.

Keep up the good work Colin!
