In Pictures: Serious style at O’Dempsey’s Dinner Dance

The Heritage Hotel in Killenard was the place to be on Saturday night as O’Dempsey’s celebrated a stellar 2018 in style.

The club reached a total of four adult finals, winning two, and also claimed U-21 ‘B’ success.

For the second year in a row, O’Dempsey’s were crowned Division 1A champions as they defeated St Joseph’s in the final in July.

This set them up for a run at the championship and they went on to reach their first senior final since 1983 – although they lost out to Portlaoise.

Their juniors were also unsuccessful when they faced Annanough in that final in September but there would be more silverware for the club before the season finished.

The Kelly Cup was due to be played earlier in the year but bad weather led to its postponement and it was only played in November where O’Dempsey’s defeated Stradbally.

The U-21 ‘B’ final wasn’t played until the first week of this year but once again it was glory for O’Dempsey’s as they saw off The Heath.

Our photographer Julie Anne Miller was there and she captured some great pictures:
