Laois minor ladies have it all to play for in this Leinster final round meeting with Westmeath

It’s all to play for today for the Laois minor ladies as a win over Westmeath would see them qualify for a Leinster semi-final place.

Tom McKittrick’s side are hoping to follow on from their 10 point win over Wexford as they take on the Lake county in Timahoe GAA on Saturday April 13 at 2pm.

The squad have been working hard in training and in challenge matches over the past three-four weeks to be ready for this game.

With a number of players away on TY school trips and a couple of injuries it is a great opportunity for others in the squad to stake a claim for a place in the team for this last fixture of group B.

Laois began their campaign against a tough Longford outfit, coming away without any points in the 10 goal thriller at Timahoe GAA.

However the next day out saw them come away with a brilliant victory against Wexford, fueling their Leinster prospects.

Now this result will decide whether or not they go through to the provincial semi-finals.
