Wins for Slieve Bloom, Laois Ladies U-16s and all Sunday’s GAA results

The Laois Ladies U-16s have a Leinster final to look forward to after they defeated Kilkenny in the ‘C’ semi final in Emo this afternoon.

Laois led 3-8 to 1-3 at half time and although the Cats came back in the second half, Laois held on and will now face Louth in the final.

It was a quiet day on the domestic front with just one club game taking place – and it saw Slieve Bloom move up to second spot in Division 2 of the hurling league.

They led 1-2 to no score against Clonad after five minutes with Gavin Conroy, who normally plays in goals but operated at full forward today, rattling the net.

His younger brother Ciaran fired over a series of frees as Slieve Bloom led 1-7 to 0-8 at half time.

Shane Cahill and PJ Daly led the Clonad resistance but they are firmly rooted to the bottom of the table following their third straight loss.
