A time and venue has been confirmed for the replay of the All-Ireland minor camogie final between Laois and Limerick.
The replay will take place at the same venue, McDonagh Park, Nenagh, on Saturday May 4 at 2pm.
The final on Saturday April 27 ended in an agonising draw for Laois – who looked as though they could clasp victory in the final minutes of their first encounter against the Treaty county.
Laois looked to have a tough task ahead of them as Limerick played with a ferocious win in the first half, but each member of the team stepped up, greatly boosted by a Kirsten Keenan goal after 10 minutes and stellar workrate in defence.
They finished the half three points down but with everything to play for in the latter half.
Laois’s strength down the centre showed as they battled continuously in the first 30 minutes, with midfielder Amy Byrne, full-back Sarah Fleming and captain Alice Walsh showing well.
Laois had numerous chances in the second half and as three last minute shots sailed wide as it felt as though this was Laois’s game for the taking. It finished all square at Laois 1-5 Limerick 0-8.
We will be live from the replay again this Saturday live-blogging all the action as it happened.
