In Pictures: Leinster final winners Laois U16 camogie players celebrate sweet success

For the second time in two days, Laois camogie have a trophy to add to their cabinet.

Following on from the minors’ thrilling success yesterday, the U16 side forged out another tremendous victory in the Wexford GAA Centre of Excellence today.

Four of today’s squad also started on the All-Ireland winning minor team yesterday – Katie Dunican, Eireann Cole, Lucy O’Connor and Andrea Scully – completing a dazzling weekend for them.

From going seven points behind in the first-half, Laois managed to keep Carlow at bay with only three scores in the second half.

Lucy O’Connor earned player of the match for her efforts – scoring an incredible 3-2 to send Laois ahead when they most needed it.

Andrea Scully remained as reliable as ever on close-range frees and Katie Dunican led by example in the full-back line as Carlow only managed three scores in the second half.
