Laois ladies football clubs getting ready for another bumper weekend of action

It’s gearing up towards another busy week for adult clubs in the Laois ladies football championships.

In the opening round of the senior championship in May, Sarsfields had a comprehensive win over St Brigid’s while it ended all square between Portlaoise and Timahoe.

Ballyroan came out on top of a nine-goal battle with Park-Ratheniska in the intermediate while the St Paul’s and St Joseph’s game was called off due to a bereavement.

Two games were played in the junior division. Clonaslee St Manman’s came out on top of their encounter with Sarsfields while Killeshin defeated The Heath.

The next round of adult championship games are fixed as follows;

Senior championship

Sunday 23 June

Shanahoe at 7pm

Friday 28 June
Sarsfields v St Conleth’s
Acragar, Mountmellick, at 7.45pm

Intermediate championship

Tuesday 25 June
Ballyroan v St Paul’s
Ballyroan at 7.30pm

Sunday 30 June
St Joseph’s v Graiguecullen
St Joseph’s at 12pm

Junior championship

Saturday 22 June
Sarsfields v Killeshin
Acragar, Mountmellick, at 4pm

Sunday 30 June
The Heath v Ballyfin
The Heath at 7.30pm

Meanwhile, U12 Heather Cowan Tournament finals are taking plac this Saturday, June 22 at 10am.
