Stradbally set to go back to the 80’s this weekend in aid of Teac Tom

This years annual 80’s night in Stradbally will take place this weekend in Rams Bar.

The 80’s themed night will be held on Saturday night in aid of Teac Tom.

This is a community based suicide prevention mental health awareness & bereavement support charity providing services in Stradbally for the county of Laois and beyond.

The vital service came about through the personal tragedy of Caroline Devoy and her family, when they lost their sister and daughter, Clare O’Brien to suicide on June 29, 2015.

Two years ago it was decided to hold a tribute to Clare through an ‘80s music event.

The event was such a success in Stradbally in its first couple of years that it was decided to host another one this year.

Speaking about the event, Caroline said: “I really hope as many people as possible can come out on the night to support us.

“We’ve had great craic the last few years with it and hopefully people in Laois can get behind us once again.”

Fancy dress is optional on the night but it promises to be very enjoyable.

Tickets are €10.

All proceeds go to Teac Tom who provide free counselling for families and individuals affected by suicide and mental health.
