The progress of the Rosenallis GAA club over the past couple of seasons has been nothing short of remarkable.
At the start of the 2016 season the club were in third tier of both hurling and football in Laois.
But in 2020 they will be the only dual senior club in the county.
On Sunday afternoon in O’Moore Park they claimed the Laois SHC ‘A’ title, just three weeks after they had won the intermediate football final.
It means it’s their second hurling/football double in three years having won junior football and intermediate hurling in 2016.
Today they beat The Harps, holding on to win by a point having been eight up at one stage.
The frantic nature of the finish though disguises that they were worthy winners – and this group of players have grown so accustomed to winning.
They celebrating joyously at the final whistle and can now look forward to playing in two Leinster club campaigns in the coming weeks as well as two senior championships in 2020.
Our photographer Julie Anne Miller got a selection of great photos after the game.
