There was glitz glamour and plenty of silverware at this year’s Laois GAA Awards, held in the Midlands Park Hotel on Friday night.
Awards winners and their families and friends all gathered to celebrate their successful seasons as well as the Laois Senior hurling team receive their Joe McDonagh Cup medals.
In total, there were 17 individual award winners who were all very worthy with Laois 13 clubs being represented.
Portlaoise, Camross, The Harps, Courtwood and Rosenallis lead the way with two awards each while O’Dempsey’s, Rathdowney-Errill, Park-Ratheniska-Timahoe, Colt, Borris-In-Ossory, Crettyard and Park-Ratheniska all have winners.

Senior Hurling Player of the Year: John Purcell (Rathdowney-Errill)
Senior ‘A’ Hurling Player of the Year: Fiachra C-Fennell (Rosenallis)
Intermediate Hurling Player of the Year: Malvin Moloney (Camross)
Junior Hurling Player of the Year: Robbie Foyle (Park-Ratheniksa-Timahoe)
Minor Hurling Player of the Year: Ciaran Burke (The Harps)
