Christmas carol service planned for Laois village this Sunday

Clonaghadoo Carols

There’s nothing like a Carol service to get you in the mood for Christmas – and one is planned for this Sunday.

Away from the hustle and bustle, it serves both as a bit of time out and a nice evening all in one.

Clonaghadoo Christmas Carollers will hold a Christmas Concert this Sunday in St Mary’s Church in the village.

The action gets underway at 4pm and admission is free.

Choir members from Clonaghadoo, Clonaslee and Portarlington are set to be involved in the event.

Organisers say: “This will be a wonderful afternoon of music and singing not to be missed.

“The carols will be performed by choir members from Clonaghadoo, Clonaslee, Portarlington and the surrounding areas.

“Musical directors are Anne Dunne and Tom Conroy while the performance will be conducted by Charlotte Mirza.”
