The Crettyard footballers will have a new man at the helm for 2020.
They have confirmed that their new manager will be Sean Murphy from Crookstown in Kildare.
Sean, a former dual player with St Laurence’s in Kildare and Mount Leinster Rangers in Carlow, takes over as Crettyard look to return to the senior ranks following relegation in 2019.
Sean said he was up for the challenge.
“I am really looking forward to committing 100% to the challenge that faces Crettyard.”
Crettyard Chairperson Jason Kearney said: “We are looking forward to a new era with Sean.
“His enthusiasm and knowledge of the sport along with our current and up and coming players will lead to great success in the near future.
“I have no doubt that the players, club and community will get behind Sean and welcome him to the area.”
Furthermore Jason praised outgoing manager Peter Brennan.
“On behalf of the entire club we would like to sincerely thank Peter Brennan for the time, dedication and commitment he showed over the last number of years.
“We would also like to thank the many volunteers and supporters that make our club what it is.”
