In Pictures: Go Grease Lighting! First ever musical in Mountrath CS is a big hit

The opening night of Mountrath Community School’s first ever musical took place yesterday March 5 and continued March 6 with a final production tonight, Saturday, February 7.

The night was a huge success as they showcased ‘Grease’.

Rehearsals began in September and this week will see the culmination of all the hard work and dedication of the Transition Year students in MCS.

Grease the Transition Year Musical 2020 promised to be a singing, dancing and acting spectacle for all the family and it delivered!

St. Philomena’s Hall in Mountrath provides the backdrop for these exciting nights.

There will also be a grand raffle with prizes including dinner for two in Ballyfin Demense, hampers and vouchers for local businesses.

The musical continues tomorrow night and Sunday, tickets are completely sold out for this brilliant event.

Our photographer Lorraine Strang was there on the opening night and took some great pictures.
