Laois Chamber held its 11th Golf Classic on Friday May 8 2009 in the Heath Golf Club.
Businesses turned out in great numbers in support of the event, which is the main annual fundraising event for the local business organisation.
The Heath Golf Club was complimented for the excellent service in the clubhouse, the day which experienced many weathers had no effect on the top quality condition of the course.
The winners of the excellent array of prizes supplied by Miller’s Hardware were:
1st Prize Leonard Carpets; 2nd Prize Midland Traders – John Cushen; 3rd Prize Laois County Council; 4th Prize Metac; 5th Prize Bardon Molumby; 6th Prize Medlocks Electrical Distributors; Front 9 The Office Centre; Back 9 Miller’s Hardware; Nearest the Pin Winner Gerry Doyle – Mulhalls Londis team member; Longest Drive Winner Sean Martin – Leonard Carpets team member.
Ten lucky winners were delighted to be drawn out of the hat, with Michael Brody being the winner of the 1st prize a Husqvarna Tractor Mower.
