In Pictures: Right craic in Barrowhouse for this year’s Cul Camp

Brought to you in association with All Books, Portlaoise

The GAA Cul Camps stretch into every corner of the country and it’s no different in Laois.

This week Barrowhouse GAA host one of the six camps in Laois this year.

And despite being one of the smallest clubs in the county, the attendance at this year’s camp certainly wasn’t small.

With no camps in Arles-Killeen or St Joseph’s this year, they had big numbers in Barrowhouse.

Though Barrowhouse youngesters made up the bulk of the attendance, there was plenty of players from neighbouring clubs too.

And the Barrowhouse GAA grounds are among the nicest in the county.

A lovely main pitch, a very impressive second pitch and a playground on the site of the GAA grounds.

On the day we visited, there was plenty of kids straight into the playground the minute the camp was over.

Camp co-ordinator Sile Burbage from Portarlington brought us around from group to group to get the photos as the players and coaches took a break from the games to happily pose for a photo.
