In Pictures: Huge crowd and loads of fun at the Killeshin Cul Camp

Brought to you in association with All Books, Portlaoise

The GAA Cul Camps stretch into every corner of the country and it’s no different in Laois.

Last week, Killeshin GAA hosted one of the six camps in Laois.

And it was certainly one of the biggest of the year with over 120 children taking part.

The facilities are top class in Killeshin and with two full sized pitches to choose from, there was no issue with space of social distancing.

The camp was coordinated by Emo’s Emma Lawlor and it ran like clockwork.

Camross sisters Aine and Sara Cuddy, Sarah Larkin, Orla Hennessy, Sophie Moore, Seth Burns-Mooney and Ross Bolger were among the coaches.

Though Killeshin youngesters made up the bulk of the attendance, there were some who had crossed the border from Carlow.

The weather was a bit troublesome last week with much of Friday a washout and a shortened day taking place on Monday.

However, when we visited on Thursday, everyone was in high spirits.
