Talking Sport Podcast: Sarah Anne Fitzgerald and Joan Dollard preview the Laois camogie final while we also look ahead to latest hurling action

For the first time since 2010, Camross aren’t in the Laois camogie final as O’Moore’s and St Brigid’s get set to do battle in Saturday’s decider in MW Hire O’Moore Park.

To look ahead to the game on this week’s LaoisToday Talking Sport Podcast, we’re joined by Sarah Anne Fitzgerald from Camross and Joan Dollard from The Harps.

They look at the key players, the key battles, the growth of camogie in Laois and the importance of getting to play their final in O’Moore Park.

Joan also looks back on the great days for The Harps when they won six Laois camogie finals, four Leinsters, three All Irelands and also got to play in Croke Park.

We also preview the weekend’s hurling action – though at senior level it’s hard see anything other than Borris-Kilcotton, Rosenallis, Rathdowney-Errill and Clough-Ballacolla going through to the semi-finals.

There is a couple of significant games in the Premier Intermediate and Intermediate grades and we look ahead to that also while making a suggestion that Laois TV should bring some of those grade games into O’Moore Park this weekend for live coverage.
