Portlaoise College announce 100k in May fundraiser for two very worthy causes

Portlaoise College

Portlaoise College Parents Council have announced details of their “100K in May” fundraiser challenge.

50% of all funds raised will go the Laois Offaly Families for Autism and the remaining funds will be used to sponsor the Portlaoise College 3rd Level bursary.

The 3rd level bursary sees two 6th Year students from the school receive financial support with their 3rd Level education.

“We are encouraging students, families and members of the wider community to participate in this great event when either participants can run or walk 100KM during the month of May,” they said in a statement.

“Prizes will be given for the student, adult, family and class that raises the most money.

“Sponsorship cards are available from the school office and families can also donate through the Portlaoise College Way2Pay system where a link will be sent to all families on 30th April.

“Because of Covid 19 restrictions we are asking fundraisers to only gain sponsorship within their own household/bubble.

“So challenge yourself to walk or run 100km in May, and raise funds for Portlaoise College 3rd Level student Bursary and Laois Offaly Families for Autism at the same time!
