Talking Sport Podcast: Johnny Doyle, Donie Brennan and the weekend’s GAA preview

GAA rules

The action continues this weekend with three of Laois’s adults GAA teams set to take to the field.

For the Laois footballers, it is their third game of 2021 as they will host Kildare, still in search of their first win.

Kildare lost out to Clare last weekend and we’ll be joined by former footballer Johnny Doyle to get the view from over there.

A brand ambassador for Joe Mallon Motors, the Allenwood man will also recall some of his memories from encounters with Laois in his playing days.

The Laois ladies are the only team to have recorded a win this year as they defeated Kildare last weekend.

They travel to Longford on Sunday and will be hoping for two on the bounce. We chat to manager Donie Brennan ahead of that one.

While we also look ahead to Laois Camogie’s must win encounter with Wexford in O’Moore Park on Saturday afternoon.

Host Alan Hartnett is joined by Steven Miller for all of that plus more.
