Christmas lights and carols as Durrow to host artisan food and craft market this Sunday

Durrow Christmas

Durrow should be a hive of activity this Sunday, November 28, for the Laois Artisan Food and Craft Market.

Showcasing the best of Irish artisan food and crafts, there will be live music and entertainment from Ray Sullivan and the Kelly brothers and Christmas carols from the 3rd Laois Durrow Scouts.

The official turning on of the Christmas lights will take place at 5pm.

As well as that Jeca the Clown will be on hand to entertain children of all ages.

The activity gets underway at 11.30am on the Durrow Village Green and will be to the theme of Making Spirits Bright.

All activity will be Covid compliant but will kickstart the Christmas season in the Durrow area.

The local community group are doing their best to assist and promote the local traders, artists and musicians who have been badly hit with Covid over the past two years.

A great day out is guaranteed.
