In Pictures: All smiles as Laois mam and daughter among graduates in IT Carlow

IT Carlow Graduation Ceremony

A Laois mam and daughter were among the many men and women who graduated from IT Carlow recently.

Mother and daughter Kathy and Niamh Sims from Spink lifted their hats and donned their scrolls.

Kathy graduated with a Batchelor of Arts in Applied Early Childhood Studies and Care.

While daughter Niamh graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Professional Social Care Practice, after Friday’s conferring ceremony of graduates from the Institute’s Department of Humanities.

The conferring is one of 20 such ceremonies taking place until January 12.

These will see over 2500 graduates conferred with degrees, higher degrees and doctorates across the Institute of Technology Carlow campuses and locations in Carlow, Wexford and Wicklow.

There were several other Laois people who were captured by photographer Mary Browne.

Stradbally’s John Clancy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Professional Social Care Practice.

Laois woman Claire Kirwan graduated with a Higher Certificate in Science in Pharmacy Technician Studies.

While Niamh McClearn graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies (Professional Social Care) from the Faculty of Lifelong Learning.
