The season is over for the Laois senior hurlers as they were well beaten by Westmeath at the weekend.

Their relegation to the Joe McDonagh Cup is not yet confirmed but regardless there are many problems to solve for all involved.

The Laois minor footballers lost out to Wexford last week as their journey came to an end.

While the weekend will go down in history for all involved in soccer in Laois.

Portlaoise won an SFAI title with their magical U-14 girls against Greystones United.

The Senior team won the Lummy-O’Reilly Cup while Towerhill Rovers claimed the CCFL Division 1 title.
