Sadness at death of well-known Laois builder Noel Casey

Noel Casey RIP

The death has occurred of Noel Casey from Rathmore, Stradbally, a man known far and wide in the building industry over a long number of years.

Noel ran a successful construction business for decades, something which has been carried on by his sons Frank and Enda in recent times.

The family are also very well known in local sporting circles, particularly in Timahoe and Laois ladies football.

His youngest daughter Angela captained Laois to All Ireland final success in 2001 while Mary and Nuala were also involved with club and county over the years too.

Noel’s death comes just a year and a half after the passing of his wife Elizabeth. 

Noel passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and the caring management and staff of Saint Vincents Hospital, Mountmellick.

Predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth, brother Paddy and sister Phil. Sadly missed by his loving sons Frank and Enda, daughters Mary, Nuala and Angela, his sons in law Martin, Tom and Thomas, grandchildren Jamie, Aoife, Edel, Ben, Keiva, Daniel,Tom, Barry, Grace, Leah and Amy.

Survived by his brother Martin, sisters in law Christina and Lily, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

His funeral mass takes place this morning (Thursday) at 11.20am to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally for 12 noon Requiem Mass.
