Timahoe Tractor and Truck Run

Timahoe will be a hub of activity on Saturday, May 13 as the inaugural Timahoe Truck and Tractor run will take place in the village.

The event has been organised by the Parents’ Association of Scoil Mhuire Fatima and all proceeds will go to the school.

All trucks, tractors and vintage vehicles are welcome and registration will take place in the village from 3pm with the run commencing at 5pm sharp.

It promises to be a great afternoon with entertainment also organised for the kids on the village green.

Parents’ Association secretary Aisling Headen is looking forward to the event.

She said: “I am heartened by the response from Timahoe people and particularly the business community in helping to raise much needed funds.”

Darragh Headen, chairperson of the Truck and Tractor Committe, said: “We are particularly grateful to other organisations in our community for their help and support including Timahoe GAA, Timahoe Foróige, Timahoe Hall Committee, Father Breene and Andy and Marie Goretti Bergin for facilitating truck and tractor parking arrangements.

“We would also like to thank vintage clubs from surrounding parishes in supporting our efforts to publicise the event.

“The Truck and Tractor Committee which is a sub-committee of the Parents Association have shown great enthusiasm from the moment the idea was suggested and we are very grateful to all of them for their efforts.

“We hope to see as many Trucks and Tractors, both old and new, in our Heritage Village on the 13th of May.”
