A native of Arles, he was an accountant by profession before masterminding the development of the Kilminchy part of Portlaoise in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

He was known as a dynamic, shrewd and progressive businessman with considerable drive, not afraid of challenges and an ability to bring people with him.

A respected employer, he’ll also be remembered as a great character and wonderful company for those who knew him.

Treasured brother of Bridie, Tom, Martin, and Nancy. Predeceased by his brothers Jack and Addie, sisters Noeleen and Mary Claire. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
