MindField returns to Electric Picnic featuring CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, comedian Aisling Bea and much, much more

The line-up for Electric Picnic’s MindField has just been announced with an inspiring, engaging and entertaining programme of spoken word, interviews, debate, talks, poetry, podcasts and more.

CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan; comedian, Aisling Bea; podcast duo, I’m Grand Mam; and sex educator, Jenny Keane have all been announced as part of spoken word arena line-up.

MindField offers the chance for revelers to experience the exhilaration of tough questions, inspiring answers, heated debate, hearty laughs, and provocative ideas.

There will be poetry, podcasts, speeches, literature and much, much more all set in the beautiful parkland of Stradbally Hall with top class food and drink experiences.

Highlights of the intriguing programme in the Leviathan tent include speed debating with Salon du Chat, and Miriam O’Callaghan hosting her annual Sunday Brunch with her special guests casting an eye on the newspapers.

The Leviathan Political Cabaret is hosted by CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan where there will be an analysis of the Good Friday Agreement 25 years on.

Paddy Cullivan presents his historical who-done-it hit show, The Murder of Wolfe Tone, whilst History Ireland Hedge School tackles the rise of the far right in Ireland. 

The Manifesto stage is this year curated by award-winning author and editor Sinéad Gleeson with conversations from Dylan Brennan and Khanyisile Mbukwane, Maija Sofia, Venus Patel and Amanda Coogan.

The Ah, Hear! podcast stage once again brings some of Ireland’s most popular podcasts together in one place including The Blindboy Podcast, Hold My Drink with Charleen and Ellie, and Three Castles Burning with Donal Fallon.

There will also be appearances from Off The Ball, Tony Cantwell’s Hit Show, Stall It with Darren Conway and Joe McGucken, Magnified with Matt Cooper.

An Puball Gaeilge features talks, theatre, podcasts and music, all as Gaeilge from Cór Cheathréad Mharlborough, Féile Nasc, Feart, Ushmush and many more.

The Word stage brings beats, rhymes, poetry, hip-hop, grime and more, from the likes of Audible Chocolate, Adore and Oscar Dunbarr, Bobby & the Blunts, The Love Buzz and Kenan Flannery.

Electric Picnic 2023 takes place in Stradbally from Friday, September 1 until Sunday 3.
