Temperatures plummeted to well below zero again last night, forcing Met Eireann to issue another warning.
This Low Temperature Warning for Ireland from Met Eireann came into effect at 8pm last night.
Air temperatures overnight ranged from zero to -4 degrees Celsius.
It was mostly dry and clear overnight with a widespread severe frost.
There was mist and fog in places, also.
Although not as cold as Sunday night’s -7 degrees, precaution is still advised.
Warning
The warning will remain in place until today at 10am.
AA Roadwatch has also urged road users to exercise caution while driving.
Black ice on the M7 Motorway also led to calls for drivers to take extreme care.
