On this week’s Property Watch we are going to take a different approach. Instead of selecting five homes, we will be identifying five sites that hold great potential to be turned into a home.
Some of these sites are planning approved, while others are subject to planning. Some also have structures already present, and others have just a plain-field site. Each site is a minimum of a half acre. There is no budget.
Knockanina, Mountrath, Co. Laois
This 1.1 acre site for sale in Mountrath had qualified for planning previously, with no restrictions attached. That planning has since expired but it would expected that planning could be gained again. The Mountrath area is one that is growing, and the town itself has all the essential amenities with a modern secondary school that ranks amongst the best in Laois. It again contains all the necessary amenities, and it is less that 10 minutes from Portlaoise and the M7 motorway.

This 1.5 acre site is located on the side of the scenic hills of Killeshin, and this particular property has an amazing view over the area of Carlow town, as well as a number of counties including Laois, Kildare, Carlow, Wicklow and Wexford.
