A young Portlaoise woman and Portarlington business have been nominated for salon of the year and Beauty & Makeup team of the year in the Irish Make Up awards 2018.
Niamh Brown, whose make-up studio is located on lower main street, Portlaoise, and Blush Beauty in Portarlington received their nominations on Monday June 4 and Tuesday June 5.
Niamh goes up against 45 other makeup studios, including nine others here in the Midlands.
Blush Beauty – which is run by Lydia Maher – are now extending their team at their Portarlington base.
This is the first-ever Irish Make Up awards, showing on from the success of the Hair & Beauty Awards and The Irish Beauty Industry Awards.
One to watch
Niamh plyed her trade in Urban Decay in Limerick before setting up base in Portlaoise. She also made our 15 Laois people to watch out for in 2018.
Both Niamh and Blush Beauty have played a hugely significant role in the growing make-up industry in Laois.
