In Pictures: Rory’s Stories visits Leaving Cert information evening with People First Credit Union

Rory O’Connor, the man behind the hugely popular Rory’s Stories, made a guest appearance at an information evening for Leaving Cert students and parents being organised by People First Credit Union in Portlaoise.

The free Practical Information Evening for students and parents preparing for the Leaving Cert and going to college was on Wednesday, March 13, in the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise at 7.30pm.

The hugely entertaining Meath man – who has over 450,000 followers on Facebook where he acts out relatable sketches of day to day situations – talked about his own experiences.

O’Connor was joined by other speakers – Sean Dunne, who is CEO of People First Credit Union, Mary Quirke, a Careeer Guidance, counsellor Mary Quirke and Damian Butler, the Budgetary Officer in UCC.

With a host of high-profile speakers and an amount of useful information, it was both an engaging and insightful evening.

This evening was open to students and parents from schools across the People First bond in Portlaoise, Stradbally, Abbeyleix, Ballinakill, Heywood and Athy.

We went along and took some snaps of the evening which you can view below.
