In Pictures: Serious craic and style at the Rosenallis GAA Dinner Dance

Dinner Dance season is in full swing and there was plenty to celebrate at the Rosenallis one at the weekend.

The Bridge House in Tullamore was the venue as three teams that tasted glory celebrated their 2019 success.

At adult level, the hurlers and footballers enjoyed a simply remarkable year as they claimed Intermediate and Senior A glory within a couple of weeks.

The Intermediate footballers saw off neighbours Clonaslee while the Senior A hurlers defeated The Harps – and they will now be the only dual senior club in the county in 2020.

While the U-17 football team were also there after they won the ‘B’ football championship last year – getting the better of The Heath in the decider.

There were a number of special guests present on the night with Laois’s only hurling All-Star Pat Critchley there to present medals.

Rosenallis man Sean Bennett, who is a double All-Ireland winner and All-Star in wheelchair hurling, was also acknowledged for his achievements.

The night was MC’d by journalist, author and one-time Rosenallis resident Jim O’Brien.

While club President Fr Tom Walshe, main sponsor WR Shaw and teams of past and present also made up the special guests on the night.

Ruaile Buaile entertained the crowd after the dinner had been served as celebrations went long into the night.

Club photographer Carmel Dunne captured all of the action and with her permission, we have a selection of her excellent shots below.
