JOB VACANCY: Thomasina Connell & Co Solicitors seeking to hire Legal Secretary

Thomasina Connell & Co. Solicitors currently have a vacancy for an experienced Full-Time Legal Secretary/P.A.

This is a challenging and responsible position in a progressive and growing legal practice. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Principal Solicitor

The Role:

  • Managing a high volume and fast-moving workload mainly Personal Injury/Family Law litigation files;
  • Accurate file management skills, amending/proofing documents, preparation of correspondence;
  • Assisting Principal Solicitor in progressing files.
  • Preparing briefs to Counsel, drafting legal documents;
  • Liaising with Clients by email and over the telephone;
  • Diary Management

The Candidate:

  • Needs to be reliable, flexible, efficient and a good communicator.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, pref. in a legal practice.
  • Highly motivated individual with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to take on and complete tasks within agreed timescales.
  • Positive attitude essential.
  • Proven ability/track record to take on responsibility and act on own initiative.
  • Highly Professional – committed to excellence in approach to work.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office esp. Word/Outlook.
  • Capacity to communicate effectively, in particular writing and on phone.
  • Appreciate of the sensitive nature of the information that the post holder will be privy to and the need for absolute discretion and trust.
  • Have the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with fellow team members and clients.

* Full clean Driving Licence an advantage.
