Planning applications have been submitted to build additional homes in two existing Laois housing estates.

In Ballylinan, it is intended that nine new properties will be added to the Doirin Alainn estate.

It will also include access roads, footpaths, foul and surface water drainage and all associated infrastructure works and services.

A decision on this proposed development from Laois County Council is due by June 9.

They wish to construct 20 two-storey three-bedroom semi-detached houses, two one-bedroom single-storey semi-detached bungalows and two two-bedroom single-storey semi-detached bungalows.
