Gardai appealing for information following dangerous driving incident in Laois village

Gardai are appealing for information following a dangerous driving incident.

This occurred in Borris-In-Ossory and the surrounding area in a period of half an hour on Wednesday afternoon.

A car, pictured above and below, was driven in an erratic fashion on the roads near Shanboe, Donaghmore, the Green Roads Bar, Borris In Ossory and St Patricks Terrace road.

It continued back up through Borris-In-Ossory town, Roscrea road and out near Ballaghmore Castle.

It was there that the car was abandoned by whoever was driving it.

They said: “We are seeking dashcam footage from anyone that witnessed dangerous driving in and around the Borris In Ossory area including Main Street, Borris In Ossory on Wednesday the 8th of March between 3.15pm and 3.45pm.

“Please contact Portlaoise Garda Station and leave contact details for the attention of the Roads Policing Unit.

“The incident involving the car pictured occurred on the roads near Shanboe, Donaghmore, the Green Roads Bar, Borris In Ossory and St Patricks Terrace road.

“This continued back up through Borris In Ossory town, Roscrea road and near Ballaghmore Castle where it was abandoned near Cooleeshill.”
