Gardai are appealing for information after a Nissan Qashqai was stolen early this morning in Portlaoise.
According to a Garda source, the car was taken from the Ardan Glas estate at about 6.45am.
The Ardan Glas estate is just off the Mountrath Road and close to the entrance to Portlaoise College on the other side of the road.
It appears the key to the vehicle was taken from the house after the thief gained entry via the front door.
The suspect was wearing a wooly bobble hat and made off in the beige 09 LH 11768 Nissan Qashqai.
Gardai in Portlaoise are appealing for information re the movement and location of the vehicle.
