Oliver Stanley Motors Ltd, currently a Texaco filling station on the Cork Road in Durrow, recently acquired  greenfield site from Laois County Council.

The land in question is zoned for development and located on The Swan Road behind the village’s fire station, off the Abbeyleix road.

Portarlington-based mother of two, Natasha Whelehan, is the Laois ambassador for the ‘100k in 30 Days’ happening in June.

The event will raise funds for the Marie Keating Foundation.

Laois teenager, Shane Allison has been crowned champion at the 2023 European Taekwon-Do Championship last weekend.

Shane, from Ballybrittas, recently turned 17 and what a way this was to celebrate his birthday.

The entrance and exit routes to a Portlaoise housing estate was described as “very confusing” at a recent meeting in Laois County Council.

Rinuccini, the estate in question, is a development of approximately 170 homes on the Dublin Road in Portlaoise,
